Do you know someone who is feeling down? Feeling a bit low yourself?
I recommend you make a little box of sunshine 🙂
When my friend got cancer she very kindly agreed that I could be her ChemoAngel. It was such an honor to support her in this way.
For each chemo session I sent her a little parcel and a card to help her on her journey. Something different each time so she had something to look forward to. I looked for bright and cheerful things that would make her smile.
I kept searching around for ideas, and I was really excited when I read about a Little Box of Sunshine. I couldn’t wait to make her one!
A Little Box of Sunshine
The idea is to fill a box with bright yellow sunshine. Then you always have some sunshine when you need it to brighten up your day.
I filled a little box with all the yellow things I could find.
Bright, sunshiney, fun yellow. It was eclectic. A piece of Lego, a feather, a magnet, bric-a-brac. And some yogurt covered gingers! It was fun searching for little yellow items that would fit – and the result was a bright and cheerful box of..well..sunshine!
There are lots of ideas on pinterest if you want to try this yourself. It is a wonderful way to let someone know you are thinking of them.
And really, you can never have too much yellow in your life, can you?
I really enjoyed pulling the little box of sunshine together. Why not make one for yourself and take it with you wherever you go?
I wish that all your days be be filled with sunshine 🙂
And I leave you with one final thought to make you smile:
